Cannabis Flower Preservation. Certified.

Great flower starts at cultivation. Fresh Vault makes sure it stays that way for all cannabis products, from edibles to concentrates, pre-rolls and vapes. Using modified-atmosphere preservation, we protect cannabis at its peak—preserving terpene profiles—through distribution, retail and all the way to the consumer’s first experience: So the last unit sold can feel as fresh as the first.

Cannabis freshness has never had a real standard.

Premium flower leaves cultivation at its peak: rich in aroma, terpene expression and complexity. But by the time that same product reaches retail, much of the quality has faded.

The customer misses that magical first-opening moment: the burst of aroma that signals true freshness. Not because the cultivator failed, but because the industry has never had a real standard for post-harvest preservation.

Instead, quality decline between harvest and sale has become normalized. Products degrade on the shelf. Retailers mark down inventory earlier than they should. And consumers have quietly learned to expect less from products sold at premium prices.

Fresh Vault exists to change that.

We’re not just improving packaging. We’re introducing a measurable preservation standard, one grounded in the same modified-atmosphere science used in food and pharmaceutical supply chains.

By integrating preservation directly into the distribution process, Fresh Vault makes freshness a condition that can be protected, verified and certified.

Because freshness shouldn’t fade somewhere between cure and counter.

Why the cannabis industry needs preservation infrastructure now

Freshness should be measurable—not a marketing claim.

Fresh Vault uses modified-atmosphere preservation, the same science used to extend the shelf life of perishables in food and pharmaceutical supply chains. By controlling oxygen levels, moisture balance and atmospheric composition inside a sealed system, we create a stable preservation environment with clear, measurable criteria.

Preserved quality protects pricing power.

Degradation leads to discounting. Discounting erodes margin. In a market defined by oversupply and price compression, the brands and retailers that can maintain product quality across the sell-through cycle are the ones that can hold their price.

Infrastructure for a category that’s grown up fast.

Cannabis cultivation has advanced dramatically over the past decade. But post-harvest preservation has remained largely informal, dependent on brand intention rather than structural accountability. Fresh Vault introduces the infrastructure needed to protect quality between harvest and sale.

From harvest to retail:
one continuous
freshness standard

Apply the preservation protocol.

Fresh Vault’s sealed, modified-atmosphere system is integrated at the packaging stage—not added as an afterthought. By controlling oxygen levels, moisture balance and atmospheric conditions inside each unit, the system creates a stable preservation environment designed to protect flower at its peak.

Meet the certification standard.

Each unit must meet Fresh Vault’s defined preservation criteria before certification is issued. This isn’t a badge applied at will. It’s a compliance outcome, verified against atmospheric and quality-control benchmarks.

Sell with visible integrity.

Fresh Vault certification travels with the product all the way to retail, signaling to buyers and consumers that the quality inside matches the quality at harvest. Freshness is no longer assumed. It’s demonstrated.

What Fresh Vault certification delivers

Protected pricing power

When quality holds, products don’t need early markdowns.

Verified freshness standards

Preservation becomes measurable, certifiable and enforceable.

Premium shelf confidence

Retail buyers know the quality inside matches the quality at harvest.

FAQs

What is Fresh Vault, exactly?

Fresh Vault is a certification standard for preserving cannabis flower.

It’s more than packaging. It’s a preservation protocol built on modified-atmosphere science: the same approach used in food and pharmaceutical supply chains to slow degradation and extend the life of organic products.

By controlling oxygen levels, moisture balance and atmospheric conditions inside a sealed system, Fresh Vault protects flower after harvest and through the retail cycle.

When a product carries Fresh Vault certification, it means that unit met defined preservation and quality-control criteria. The certification is the visible signal that those standards were met.

How is Fresh Vault different from cannabis packaging?

Fresh Vault is more than packaging—it’s infrastructure layered onto packaging.

Most cannabis packaging focuses on compliance (child resistance, labeling) and branding. Fresh Vault focuses on what happens inside the package: the atmospheric conditions that determine whether flower maintains its harvest-day quality or slowly degrades before the consumer opens it.

Two products might use the same outer package. But only a Fresh Vault–certified product has been sealed and validated under defined preservation criteria.

What problems does Fresh Vault solve for operators?

Cannabis quality declines between cure and retail.

For cultivators, that can mean terpene loss, moisture imbalance and a product that no longer reflects the work that went into growing it.

For brands, inconsistent quality at retail weakens premium positioning and can lead to defensive pricing. For retailers, degradation drives early markdowns and conditions consumers to expect lower prices.

Fresh Vault introduces preservation infrastructure for all cannabis products—from edibles to concentrates and vapes—protecting quality across the sell-through cycle. We help operators maintain consistency, protect margin and support a true premium tier in flower.

What does the Fresh Vault certification process involve?

Fresh Vault certification begins with sealing flower inside a validated modified-atmosphere system.

Each unit must meet defined criteria for oxygen reduction, moisture balance and barrier integrity before certification is issued. Certification isn’t applied automatically. It’s verified against these preservation benchmarks.

How does Fresh Vault certification affect the consumer?

For consumers, Fresh Vault certification is a signal of preserved quality. It restores the emotional connection so many enthusiasts connect to their cannabis experience.

It indicates that the flower was stored under defined atmospheric conditions from post-harvest through retail. That means the aroma, terpene expression and overall experience at opening—that immediate burst of scent when the seal breaks—more closely reflect what the cultivator produced at harvest.

Over time, Fresh Vault certification is designed to become a recognizable mark for consumers seeking freshness-preserved flower as a distinct premium category.

Is Fresh Vault available for all cannabis product types?

Yes. The Fresh Vault protocol is currently designed for flower and all the products it inspires: concentrates, vapes, pre-rolls and edibles included.

The preservation science behind the system (oxygen control, moisture regulation and barrier validation) can apply to many organic products. But Fresh Vault’s certification standards are currently optimized for cannabis.
